Our last 5 1st round picks are on the roster. This is not year 2 of the rebuild. This is year 6. |

Lou's a buyer. I think he gets another D and hopefully a forward that Babs likes more than Hyman.
I'm looking forward to Lou bringing Kovalchuck in this summer to play with AM |

.........puleeezzzz!! Why media perpetuates this stuff when everyone in the Leafs organization, to a man, keeps saying.........we do what makes sense for for the future. I don't think a second for Boyle signifies anything other than a
Small price to gain valuable playoff experience for the youth. Seriously, why does a plug hack fan like myself have to continually translate this to professional media types!? |

I would take him on a 1 year radulov type deal but I cant see the gms letting him back in. |

It may not be so cut and dry. I bet the nhlpa would fight any attempt to block him pretty hard. |

I think the biggest significance of this trade is that it tells the players that they are expected to make the playoffs and management is backing them. |
|
|
|
Either way, please fix the blueline. It's getting painful to watch. |

This guy is always yapping about the rebuild meaning more draft picks. Like the only way to build a winner is more picks on a team playing 8 rookies. You have to also add with trades. All these media idiots talk about building a team like the penquins ,the speed etc. How about the fact that half the important players last year came thru trades or signings . Not the lose and get draft pick model this guy Augello swears by. Kessel,Bonnino,Haglan,Daley,Schultz ,Lovejoy etc.. How did Edmonton due until they started trading some of those picks and signing some pieces.? Lou will use all the avenues ,thank god. Not lose for 3 more years to get picks you dope. |

Making the playoffs doesn't necessarily mean the rebuild ends. Brian Boyle is a decent pickup for a incidental run this year. One only needs to take a look at Edmonton to remind oneself to be cautiously optimistic.
By the way, the the coverage on the Boyle trade on SN and TSN is a tad nauseating. |
